I am currently a Consultant-In-Training (CIT) and I offer affordable consultation hours to EMDR practitioners who either just need support with EMDR cases or who are working toward Certification.

Let’s talk!

Whether you are interested in becoming an EMDR Certified Practitioner, want consultation on a few tough cases, or would like EMDR consultation for therapists at your agency, I would love to connect with you.

Therapists considering certification should definitely review requirements for certification on EMDRIA’s website.

Here is a quick summary of the requirements to become a Certified EMDR Practitioner:

Proof of completion of an EMDR Basic Training program

  • Your current license to practice independently

  • Two years of experience in mental health counseling and 50 EMDR sessions conducted. (You provide this with a notarized letter.)

  • Twenty (20) hours of Consultation

    1. 10 of these can be in a small group (no more than 8 participants.)

    2. 15 hours can be with a CIT

    3. 5 hours must be provided by an approved consultant

  • Two letters of recommendation from colleagues, peers, or trainers who know you well enough to write one.

  • 12 hours of EMDRIA Credits

  • EMDRIA prefers that you complete all requirements within 5 years, however, if you have gaps, make sure your consultant(s) know why and they can explain in their letters. Any evaluation will speak primarily to your most recent work.

Per emdria.org, if you are an LPCC, LCSW, etc. you can accrue hours toward certification while working toward independent licensure. You do need to be fully licensed at the time you apply for certification.
