Comfort in your own skin.
Authenticity is a worthwhile goal. Start being your amazing self in all of your glory. If you believe anxiety, PTSD, burnout, or depression are getting in the way of you being the person you were meant to be, let’s talk.
Stop downplaying your needs because someone else “has it worse.”
We live in unsettling times. Even if you have never thought of yourself as an anxious or “moody” person, you might find yourself being a bit more irritable than usual even with people you care about. You might be having trouble sleeping or constantly “doom scrolling” through the news and social media.
I am here to support you with HIPAA-compliant telehealth and research-backed therapeutic techniques. I help you through an eclectic combination of strategies drawn from Humanistic (person-centered) counseling theory as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and transformational coaching techniques.
Commit to taking some time to create a life that brings you joy, peace, and fulfillment.

Her approach to therapy is to take a holistic perspective that recognizes you as the unique being you are. The therapeutic environment is safe, stigma-free, judgment-free, and inclusive, which allows for a collaborative approach toward greater mental wellness and life satisfaction.
Marie is in the process of completing the Sex Therapy Certificate through the Sexual Health Alliance (SHA) in Colorado. She is a sex-positive, identity-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, and inclusive clinician.
Marie recently graduated from the Masters of Arts, Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Adams State University. Her internship under the supervision of Amy Armstrong, LPC.
Amy Armstrong, MS,LPC, CIT, ACS
Supervision and Consultation for mental health practitioners who are seeking licensure in Colorado or hours toward certification in EMDR online across Colorado.
Hi, I'm Amy Armstrong. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified EMDR Therapist, Consultant in Training, and Approved Clinical Supervisor who works with mental health practitioners who are seeking licensure in Colorado or hours toward certification in EMDR who have anxiety about using EMDR in sessions or need supervision for licensure as an LPC. My goal is to help you stop getting burntout and start helping you make progress towards your goals.
My Journey To Becoming A Clinical Supervisor and EMDRIA Consultant in Training
I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I'm human. I've been been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.
I help people suffering from PTSD, anxiety, and panic disorder because I have struggled with these challenges as well. I completely understand how my own mental health journey affects how I show up as a practitioner, and recognize that most therapists are "wounded healers." I take a trauma-informed approach to supervision.
My life experiences are what lead me to become the Clinical Supervisor and EMDRIA Consultant in Training I am today.
Helping People Is What I Look Forward To Every Day
Being a Clinical Supervisor and EMDRIA Consultant in Training is an honor. I love guiding people towards figuring stuff out and seeing them finally getting the life they desire. The most rewarding thing about being a Clinical Supervisor and EMDRIA Consultant in Training is inspiring others to be all they can be. I am committed to helping you make progress towards your goals.
I Have Compassion For People And Bring An Open, Non-judgemental Presence To Sessions
I have a natural ability to:
Understand people's experiences
Help people feel comfortable
Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them
Be flexible on the path of discovering what's going on
People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people feel heard and understood which helps people feel seen and start to heal.
Our Sessions Are Focused On You
Sessions will provide you with the space to be understood and heard. In feeling safe and comfortable, you'll be able to gain clarity and be understood and heard.
It's important to me to provide a non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and ensure that the process is collaborative. There isn't a "one size fits all" approach to Supervision and Consultation. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.
As A Clinical Supervisor and EMDRIA Consultant in Training, I Embrace The Following Philosophies
I believe that there is no shame in asking for help
I believe that change is possible when you allow yourself the space to do the work
I believe that taking care of yourself is the most generous thing you can do for the world
I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do
I believe that if we continue to keep working and believing in ourselves we can be in a completely different space sooner than we think
